Oakwood Manor - Affordable Housing Requirement

Oakwood Manor has a unique design featuring a central, common area with upholstered seating, gas fireplace, dining area and kitchen for resident use.

Four hallways extend off of the main common area like the spokes of a wheel. Laundry facilities and mail delivery are located in the common area allowing residents to do their laundry and check their mail without leaving the comfort of the heated and air-conditioned main building. Each apartment has an outdoor, main floor patio either looking out on the main entrance and parking areas or the grassy, wooded side yards.

A small pet is welcome with ample area to walk the dog without leaving the property. Each apartment has an electric stove, refrigerator and hot water baseboard heat provided along with air-conditioning units. Oakwood Manor is located less than a quarter mile west of the main intersection of M-37 and US 10 yet is quiet and secluded in the oaks and pines, a short walk to downtown Baldwin.

The village of Baldwin features grocery stores, a drug store, several retail stores, library, gas stations, bank, restaurants and county offices all within easy walking distance of the apartment community. The local Dial-A-Ride buses offer easy, inexpensive transportation in town and, by appointment, out of town too.

The building is accessible for guests by a buzz-in, locked door entry system. Our maintenance staff is on call 24 hours a day for emergencies. For a small donation, all residents may enjoy a balanced, nutritious lunch served by St. Ann's Meals Program. Available Monday through Friday.
